Wing panel assembly compatibility

Hi

I need to replace the wing tops and headlamp mounting panel sections on my late model 1996 300tdi. I have been told that earlier parts (up to chassis number LA939975, which I think is a 1994 200tdi designation) will fit okay and are cheaper. The genuine Land Rover part numbers are MXC9400 and MXC9343. Any advice would be appreciated because I need to order the bits. Thanks.

I did ask, but I have had conflicting advice. And I never quite trust sales guys when it comes to tech spec stuff.

I would also love to know if early's fit lates. Lates are £250 + vat!

300 tdi has larger holes for indicator and side light ,but i have enlarged early ones to take later light ,side panels have air intake hole on opposite side
