For sale is my project Defender which I purchased earlier in the year but sadly a lack of time means I am unlikely to complete. Its V5 is in my name and its currently register SORN
The truck is very original with a 2.5NA diesel engine that has done 79,000.
The cross member was rotten when I purchased it and has been cut off ready to receive a new cross member which will be supplied. The rear tubular out riggers are rusted and new ones supplied with the sale and the front o/s rigger will also need replacing and again is included in the sale.
The bulk head and floor panels are all in perfect condition and do not need any work. I have removed the rear floor in the tub to allow access to the cross member and out riggers and I have fitted brand new front shocks. The front propshaft is also brand new (Hardy Spicer) and included in the sale is a full set on genuine indicators and side lights.
I replaced the pick up with a TD5 hard top which is fitted and includes a head liner and new seat belt brackets as well as the rear door which I am in the processes of repairing as the corner frame had rotted so a new YRM panel is included.
The rest of the chassis is fine and requires no welding.
The front doors are fine with no rot but the window winder mechanism requires attention.
Panels are all straight apart from a dent in the front wing shown in the picture.
The Landy has galvanised capping strips and for a truck is in good nick for something approaching 30 years old.
The interior is, as you would expect basic, and the seats would benefit from recovering.
Wheels have A/T tyres fitted and all good.
Will require a rear section of exhaust as I cut this off when removing the cross member as I had planned to do a 200tdi engine conversion at some point.
Head liner for the roof sections are included so everything is here to complete the old girl.
The landy would probably be worth more in bits but its too good to break and this would take longer than it would to complete.
