windows not working

Hi everybody just a quicky for all you p38 geniuses just come back off holidays and the battery was flat put jump leads on and used code to open door but none of the windows or mirrors will now work the error messages keep saying windows not set and goes round them all also sunroof not set any help greatly appreciated by the way its a 97 4.6

What you need to do is open each window and then close them one at a time, holding the switch in the up position until the display reads "window set". Open the sunroof fully then close it and press the switch again to open it to the vent position. This will reset the sunroof.

If the display continues to show "window not set" just lower it fully and then raise it again holding the switch when it gets to the top. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries.

Hi mad hat man none of the windows will work at all could the battery still be a bit low

when jumping it did you put the leads on the battery or did you earth the body?

also check fuses, put the leads on the car, possy to battery and earth to body on p38 and batt on donor car. try again.

I am assuming back switches do not work either, ie it is not something as simple as a connection issue to centre switch pack?

Do lights, interior and road lights work as expected?

Hi again yes everything else works car is running opening with fob just windows refusing to work had battery on charge all night so ill try this morning and see if they play

does the switch pack light up(i think it should when lights are on) if the back door buttons are dead too its got to be fuses i reckon

Hi again was just the battery that was low charged it up overnight and every thing seems to be working ok once again thanks for all the help and advice
