Hi all
When the front window is part way down, you can grab the glass and rock it back and forth. Inevitably when you run it up, it doesn't go straight and sticks, triggering the anti trap.
I've had the door card off but i can't see what's loose/worn. Is it repairable or do i need a new regulator?

It may be the window guides worn or the blue plastic regulator runners. If its them I think I have some in the garage I could send you.I take it the regulator is firmly attached to the door frame.the pop rivets can loosen, best drilled out and replaced with nuts and bolts.

There's also a rubber seal on the front edge, behind the door card, that can get pushed out, and many folks (me now included) just find it sitting inside the door down at the bottom
Thanks both, I'll check for a seal on the front edge, or rather check if i can see one lose in the bottom!!
I hadn't noticed any loose rivets, but easy to double check. Not sure if I've seen any blue bits but something else to look out for.. if it's dry tomorrow!!
Cheers

They are st the end of the regulator arms and run in the channel at the bottom of the drop glass.

There is an adjustmant bolt for the pitch of the glass IIRC..

Mine used to bind up, when you remove the door card, in the centre of the window mechanism is a gold'ish "if memory serves" bolt that is sat in an adjustment hole it gives a few mill adjustment left or right IIRC
I slackened it off and gave it a tap to the one side, once done the window went up and down no issues.

You can adjust it either way..

Found a pic, albeit a bad one! ;)

Ok, i slackened that bolt but it didn't seem to make any difference whether it was very loose or done up tight.
The rivets seem tight enough, the rubber channel in the front of the door is in place but seemed to be binding a bit, some rubber lube and that's made things loads better.
The whole glass still rotates about is axis quite a bit but a can't see why, unless it's those blue runners that are worn.. as i move the glass with my hand, i can see the runner moving in its channel

I'll check in the garage tomorrow if you want to replace them.

I appreciate the offer. Do you know how to tell if this is the actual problem? Ie how to know if they are actually worn?
You could try lowering the window half way to see if they are visible and if there is any play in the runner or it could be in the ball socket.I'll post some photos tomorrow, I've got a spare passenger side window which will show the runner with the blue bits if I can find them.

I could see them both, the one nearest the front of the car in the middle of the door was easiest to see but couldn't figure out how to check for play.
I guess it's one of those things where it becomes obvious once you've got the whole lot out of the door

Look into the door from the top while the window is down. There is also a rail that runs left to right with a guide wheel in it. Is it still in place or popped out? I found a customer vehicle with the window did the same. An arm had popped out of a blue slider on the window bottom. Lack of grease had stiffened it up and forced it out. ;)

Is that the blue plastic jobby in the runner that's attached to the glass? It's in place, but has dry grease in it. I sprayed done gt85 on it which helped, need to clean it properly though

I did reply yesterday but it never postedo_O I guess if you drop the window half way you may be able yo see the runner nd the blue guides,I'll post photos if I can find the bits have a spare passenger side window in the garage. The blue bits may be worn where the ball ends of the regulator arms fit in.

I've done that before! Most annoying!!
I was looking at the passenger side too, for comparison, that moves much less, but noticed the glass didn't quite go all the way up into the for on the leading edge! I'm guessing that's some adjustment needed rather than bits worn
