Hi, been a while since I have been in the forum. My trusted LWB Defender Tdi has moved on and I am now the proud owner of a 1995 Disco Tdi ES Auto with 175k on the clock - I have only done a 1,000 miles so far, but love the smooth ride (and the cheap prices - just ordered a service kit from Brit Parts:).

Everything works on the car (including the cruise control) and the sun roofs are not leaking (huraaa).

But the car came with window blinds fitted in all 7 rear windows and one of them do not roll back up. I have searched high and low for a replacement, but can simply not find them - anyone know here can get any of these (it is the blind in the boot, left side, high little window that does not roll back).

As I am going to Morrocco soon, I would like to have them all in good working condition.

Thx in advance for any suggestions or ideas...

PS. The seller told me it was an option from Land Rover but have not been able to find anything about them anywhere...

Yup they were a dealer fitted option. I purchased a boot set 'old stock' but never got around to fitting them so I flogged them on eBay at a profit that was 5 years ago. But.. yours look as if they are a patten part as genuine covers all the glass area.

Thx for the comments. Will set an alert up on eBay and see if anything pops up. Will also try and take the blind apart and see if can get it working again - thx again for the comments :)

If I were you I would get a dark tint on your side and rear windows.

I did a tour in Morocco 3 years ago and I know you'll need to keep the heat down and hide your gear from prying eyes.

I agree with Thebiglad. Have the rear windows tinted. I had a 50% on the rear doors, full limo on the rear sides & alpines and a75% on the rear door. It was the first time the shop had tinted using three different levels and it really works. I had the car tinted as I have two Black Labradors who never now get hot whilst traveling. NB though, be very careful if tinting the drivers & passengers front windows as you could fall foul of the MOT rules.

Only had the sun in the South of France in August to compare with, but vehicle noticeably cooler, and it helps with the air con as well. But that's a different story which I may publish soon as I am modifying the control for the AC so I can have variable cool.

Also you can load up to the glass if you have tints and no blinds!!

Sounds like a good idea :)
But had never seen the window blinds before in a Disco 1 so was very surprised (and pleased) to see them - just seem a shame not to use them.
