Hi I want to fit a winch to the front of my 90, Not into the bumper but under. Just so the front looks standard, without a big winch on show. Has anybody got any tips for me with regards to fitting ? Cheers

It depends how creative you are with a welder but you could remove the front chassis crossmember and replace it with a winch tray. It would be a pretty complicated job considering rad mounts, steering box, steering arms etc.

You can buy bumpers for lowline winches that look almost standard, that would probably be the easiest option.

Why not a Tirfor? Not as convenient as a mounted winch, but can be put in the back of the landy when not needed, and they have the advantage of being able to winch from the front, back, or even side if needed.

:5biagree:Good option, especially if you only want a winch, just in case, as I suspect.

Your approach angle will suffer for this, if you want to go off-road enough to need a winch, then it will probably get you stuck often, you would not need a winch if it you didn't put it there, if you get me? :D

fine if you are doing challenge events , have used 1 a few times on other landys tbh would'nt have 1 as a gift . bordering on bloody dangerous imo the over run nearly had my fingers the first time i had to operate 1 .
and they aint that powerful, seen much better
depends what one ya got:cool2:
and obviously the brake wasnt working properly or the user didnt know how to operate the brake properly:scratching_chin:
