Hi GUys

Im doing my body lift on 300tdi in the next few days, just trying to think of ALL posible issues. (apart from rusty nuts oo er)

iv currently got a 2" suspension lift but 33" tyres hence the lift.
so what iv thought of so far are;

1 - front brake lines need to change from +40mm to +100MM

2 - does the back one need the change from 40mm as it doesnt flex as much in the up down motion.

3 - bumpers will obv need re doing, back one isnt an issue as i made it, front is a winch buper, how have people changed theirs.
4 - boot floor supports, i didnt get these in the kit i got, has any body used anything else?

5 - steering - theres enough play once loosened so iv heard.

6 - rad mounts - got

7 - rear seat belts - easy enough had them out to do boot floor

8 - what about cabling, is there any to worry about?

9 - anything else

Edit

Gear lever mounts, however i dont think these are necessary and could easily be cut and welded

2 mounts i for got about are at the back of the gear / transfer box, they undo easily, BUT for love nor money can i get the pin out to extend them so thats a WIP for me.

floor mounts im making from some 50mm box section.

my rear bumper is custom anyway so need to tweek that abit.

front bumper also needs moving up, thinking about welding 6mm angle to top of chassis and replacing the holes

steering linkage may need to be changed if its a round bar.

Loosen the fuel filler pipe, unbolt the fuel filter from bulkhead or you will snap the pipes on the lift pump, I didn't bother with boot floor supports. Not had a problem so far...

here u can see mid way thru the rights lifted and left isn't u can see bumper gap

good shout on the fuel filter, not thought of that, what about brake and clutch pipes would they be effected?

WLM always admire yours :)

do you have any issues of wheels catching on front bumper on articulation?

Paul, it'd be good if you updated your original post with any extra's you missed off for future reference for anyone else wishing to do a body lift I reckon... its not every day you get body lift questions unlike suspension questions!

oh, and i think there 2 diffenet steeing arms...i had the wrong one, one is round, one is more square with tapered angles..iv got a pick and will post up, my standard 300tdi was too short so went to my local landy place and they had quite a few of this other type, had to cut 10mm from it to get it to fit but there is no way it can come off so all good.
