Which are the best 17" tyres

Hi all its time to change the tyres again, they are the problem 225/55 17 size. I have had Pirelli Scorpian STR's on since 2007 been through about 3 sets without any known problems. But im wondering are there any better tyres, I drive mainly road use odd bit of green lane and roads my way are fairly bad. I have looked at Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme 97 H, Hankook Ventus RH06, and Michelin Latitude Tour does anybody have any experience with these or done the same comparison? Thanks

Hi. Same as me: Scorpion STR ( before STR I was using ST, can't find them now )
Last year I was tryin to change to something else - Goodyear Vector 4Seasons 225/55 R17 101 V XL AO MFS - changed back to Pirelli.
So now I'm on them since 2004, lost count how many sets
