As above, anyone use these tyres?
I’m thinking of getting a set for my Freelander mk1 - they don’t do in OE side of 225/55/17 but do a 235/55 which will sit on the rims ok (says my Michelin contact). The rolling circumference is within 1.5% difference, so makes sense.

If you use them - are they any good/worth the money?

TIA

No idea on the BFG.

Lots of Freelander owners like Yokohama Geolander AT 015, which are available in a 225/60/17 and a 225/65/17, both of which will fit the standard 17 rims on standard height suspension.
They go pretty much anywhere, grip well on dry or wet tarmac, they last well and are 3 peaks rated, so can be used across Europe in winter.
Oh and they're not very noisy either.

Thanks Nodge
Yes, I’ve seen the Geolanders mentioned on here quite a bit. The BFs are 3 peaks also, and I’m hopefully getting a lumpy discount on them!

I think lots of Freelander owners use the Yokohama 015 because the they are good value with excellent road performance, but also size is favourable for the Freelander suspension.
The Freelander rides better on slightly more compliant side walls, so 60% or 65% work well on a 225 width tyre.

Give the BFG a go, and do some feedback on here, or preferably the Freelander forum. ;)

Most BFG tyres are pretty good. Although they look very much road and winter weather biased as opposed to off roading. But not sure what you want. I'd say the size should be fine too.
