I presume it's 15 as I'm on a classic policy and she ain't 25 yet lol. Search insurance on ere plenty of Fred's bout it.

What purpose do you use your Disco for, that must be the question, If you go out playing, the chances are you wont be covered on a classic policy. (Comp) Bit of light Green lanes you still may not be covered.

Ask the Question loads insurance companies looking for Biz.:search:

Good Luck:smokin:

Does classic insurance come cheaper and whats the difference with normal insurance......?

I also run a 1976 car so that is a classic car and insure as such, with a classic policy an insurance expect you only to do a low milage ie. weekends and laid up in the winter, which most classics are, so a low risk although you will still have to declare you expected annual mileage, for me that just the minimum 1000miles.
With a classic policy you can also get an agreed value for the vehicle, also you don't always receive a NCB, not a problem for most classic car owners.

I've just this month insured my 93 200tdi disco. I previously had it on a classic/offroad policy and it cost me pennies. I had a V8 rangey classic and that also cost me pennies to insure. In both cases it was because it was not my primary vehicle. As soon as the vehicle becomes your daily driver and not your weekend hack the insurance more than doubles. I now pay close to £400 when it used to be about £200 including full European breakdown cover. If you run the wagon as a second car make sure to tell them.

A-Plan thatcham do a very good green laning policy and if you haggle it a bit you can knock a bit off.
