I want to fit some wider wheels tyres to my currently stock D90.

I have been told i can fit 33 12.5 x 15 without a lift.

I fancied 285 75 16 as these are roughly the same Rolling radius at 33"

I understand i may need spacers to avoid lock issues but anything else on stock suspension? I dont mind adding spacers and arches if needed.

I think it is all to do with

1) Tyre width
2) Wheel rim offset

I went from the old imperial 750X16 on modular rims, to the metric 235x85x16 on Boost alloys and found that the tyres rubbed on the radius arms when on full lock. I had to adjust the lock stop nuts to compensate.

The deep dish rims I think will give a better offset, allowing wider tyres without the need for spacers.

So to sumarise, theoretically you could keep putting wider tyres on your existing rims until they rub on the radius arms. You could then put the same tyre on a different rim that had a different offset, and you may find they dont rub at all.

I think:)

i got 33 12.5R15 on my 110, with deep dish offset modulars and dont have any issues with them rubbing the radius arms - got them from silverline 4x4

Anyone using Mastercraft MT tyres?

What are they like?

I am torn between these or General grabbers AT2 i know they are AT and not MT i hasten to add. Just wanted some experienced thoughts ;)

cheers for all the help so far, i know i am a pain in the "Harris"

I have seen the review site.

I just wanted first hand experience if possible as its all a bit sales pitch on that review site.

I only ask as Silverline do a good price for these and wheels.

Ive still got my 4 silver/grey steel modulars cluttering up the garage, if your interested. They have Goodyear Wrangler 750x16 tyres on them, but I was thinking of taking the tyres off and selling them seperate to the wheels anyway.

Im in South Yorkshire if your interested. Saying that though, there are some good brand new wheel/tyre packages around from Paddocks etc
