Hi!

I'm "Dervish" and I live in Finland, and I have had a D2 for a bit over year now.
Too bad there is some idle user with my nickname, so I had to add i to mine that i've used since death rally was released.

It's a 7 seater originally sold in Germany and imported to Finland.
Some previous owner removed the rear seats (2nd and 3rd row) and registered it as a 2 seater van. This to drop the yearly tax from ~1100 euros -> ~600 euros. Also it has been changed to coils.

This is how it looked when I bought it, october 2021 with ~336k km on the dial.

And this is what is has transformed into with ~354k km on the dial.

Major upgrades done, from top to bottom....
-Fabryka roofrack and front bumper from Poland.
-Some tyrex 9500lbs winch by the previous owners.
-Two different size and function X-Vision led bars. Smaller is a hybrid, so it's beam is a bit wider and the larger is a spot so it'll show trafficsigns and catseyes from almost 3km on full power.
-6pcs of purelux very small led worklights on the rack.
-Rear ladders added.
-Some generic brand +50mm wheel arches.
-285/75/16 Toyo open country MT's on steels painted with bronze rubber paint. Still have those tires and wheels in the first pic.
-Terrafirma panhard.
-Terrafirma TF220 longer anti roll bar links
-Adrenalin 4x4 6 degree towing and radius arms with some poly bushes.
-Tyrex/Raptor 3" coils from Italy. Don't know the ratings for these.
-Terrafirma 3" shocks with the 4 stage adjustment.
-Terrafirma steering shock with 4 stage adjustment.
-Gwynn Lewis beefier propshafts. Front GL-DC-D2-EXT-BLUE. Rear GL-EXT-845-BLUE wide angle with the defender 4 bolt flange. No more rubber donut.
-Terrafirma stainless steel full exhaust with just a rear muffler.
- TD5Inside tune under work.

And a ton of smaller things done.

This is my daily driver I got to replace my Audi A3 1.8tq that I still have.
Also have a -91 gt mustang and a 2011 mazda 6 gh 2.2 diesel.

I keep a build blog at D2BC and on my local Rover club pages in Finland.

Gotta add to this topic.

Few days ago I picked up a second D2. My wife wanted her own.

2004 4.6L V8 SE with trail 1 package minus everything else than the badge in the rear door.
144k miles on the dial.

Didn't pass MOT because of emissions, misfire on cyl 6 so all the values are high.
And some other smaller stuff.

Lot more about this D2 also at D2BC.

I just read your intro after our dialogue today.

Tervetuloa Neighbour.

Thanks Guys.

As as short update to the current status of my discos.
Well, I have 4 of them now.

Bought 2 discovery 1's last year.
For some few hundred euros per.
LOTS or new metal needed on the bodies on both of them and I mean a LOT.

Croker vs Rover had no rust compared to mine 🤣

Please make a thread with the restoration process here. I've watched Crocker and his work is amazing I would say, but the discovery not rusty enough! Mine also needs a lot of metal, although I am probably getting better mileage now that it's lighter
