Whats the Best Shovel for Offroading

Sounds like a pretty crap topic, but I'm after a shovel for recovery, digging defender out etc. Want something decent thats going to last. Whats the best shovel to get?

I know you can get one from B&Q, but that'll prob be too long and will have a woden handle... Maybe a steel one from a builders merchants or somethin.

Any ex MOD ones knockin around?

i take a bulldog "D" spade myself if the ground is stoney it will still dig fairly well and can use as a shuvel as well
 
I've got one o they fold up army spades ( can I say that oddie and sean ? ) which int much good.I'm gonna but a proper wooden army spade soon and try it oot :D
 
A shovel !!!!


I'm digging a hole for myself here.... or at least I would be if I had a decent Shovel, or Spade for that matter!!!
 
Dont want a folding one, army entrenching tools are for carrying in webbing, on a person. I have a defender, so think I could probably stretch to a half decent one, considering I'll be cold wet and ****ed off when I have to use it!!!
