So really the 3.5efi too old, VM diesel pile of ****- therefore a 200tdi or 3.9efi your choices unless you find an LSE 4.2

IRS a bye-way in which yu could be arriving, or by the by which means another thing.:)

Not looked it up so could be wrong, but a byeway is a route you travel on. So bye means to travel i think. So goodbye means good journey or good travel. And should only be used literally by someone who is bidding fairwell to another party.

I have had a 3.5 4 door and currently have a 4.2 LSE, and have driven lots of others. Assuming you want something to use daily I would go for a late 300TDi since that engine in a Classic is a great combination, but for sheer completeness I would go for the 4.2 LSE if you can find a good one - the engine is superb (developed for LandRover by Jon Eales Racing) and it has an extra 8 inches rear legroom.
The 3.9 is a fine car but overall I prefer the 4.2, it feels different to drive but still recognisably a RR - and its a lot rarer, only 2000 were made and as of December 2010 the Department of Transport were showing 580 left on UK roads, and I think that is probably optimistic

There's a 4.2 LSE up for grabs in Sheffield.
1993, LPG, 48,000 miles, full history - only £10,500
