When you refit the window frame back into the door, make sure that you get the alignment right or you could end up with a leak between the door and the seal up in the top front corner.
I've probably fixed the leak I already had ;)
Everything looked fine and all the gaps were slightly tighter, especially at the front top where it used to leak slightly in heavy rain, so I'll see how I get on when it next rains.

Has anybody got any idea how many litres of brake fluid a disco 2 td5 can hold? Including the clutch I'm on 7 ltrs now. Think I'm causing a one man Blake fluid world shortage!!!

Ta for that. It's about 10 euro a litre, put it this way I'm already thinking up excuses for when the boss gets back from England Tuesday and looks at the bank account

Must agree 7 litres seems excessive to me to. The disco does not seem to be doing what it does best ie spilling vital fluids over the tarmac, so where is it going?

I finally picked up Myrtle today from the Southampton port and drove her back to Newmarket, Suffolk.
I got a lot of head turning from people seeing me driving a LHD Disco on the motorway.

Shouted at it and told it not to do this now!! ......
Middle of a car park, load of frozen stuff from the souper market slowly warming up in the back, and my stupid starter motor issue makes a reappearance! .... just clicking. It eventually started and the pizzas thankfully survived unhurt.
Just been out to remove the solenoid plunger again and realised that there's no way I'm fitting the repair kit while the engine is hot!
Job for tomorrow me thinks ;)

Removed the drivers door inners to do the lock springs & in the mountain of LR parts I have they
have fkd off into the abyss after 3/4 of a hour I gave up looking

So went to the next job made a full set of brake pipes & fitted them im removing the abs
& then this job came to a halt as the abs has twin flexi's on the front so a t piece needed to
move forward with this job

Next job...…. fit x brake hand brake cable easy job I said Oh no FFS
the cable going into the tube under the hand brake lever is like a fkn clowns pocket...
machined a nylon bush to suit only to discover the hand brake lever button is jammed in

AHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG WTF IS GOING ON

Tried to free if off with no joy so ground off the rivet & removed the rod which was bent
after straightening & refitting job done :D

Beer time was imminent lol
