what enjuns fit the S3 gearbox bellhousing

as title, there are millions of engines in the world, does anybody know which or any cheap little four pots, aside from series enjuns themselves (or 3cyl or twin, not too overly fussy) that can be made to fit to the series 3 gearbox? the smaller the betterer - it doesnt need to work, doesn't even need to spark, doesn't need to be right in any traditional sense, engine mounts etc int' an issue, and it'll more than likely get utterly destroyed in the course of my experiments in my quest for alternative fuel, which is why it needs to be cheap

the rest of the vehicle shall remain unmolested.

200tdi is only obvious choice then

Series motors are dirt cheap, you could take out pistons 1 and 4 together with their rods, valves etc and have a 360 degree twin of about 1100cc using pots 2 and 3?

aye cheers, despite its obviousness, a 200tdi had not occured to me for this particular project! and I didn't realise you could pick up series motors for so little. I'm just trying to overcomplicate things again!! thanks for all your input
