Splashed through a few big puddles on the way home from work tonite.

Just finished fitting a new windscreen washer jet, got the new sat nav update dvd installed (2012 version) so now I won't be doing a bit of 'off-roading' on my way to and from work, and finally got my new webasto T91 fob programmed for my heater.

Ahhh, happy days!!

Ahhh, happy days!!

Iv fitted both the reciever and t91 remote to my L322.

Just wondering did yours come with the reciever already fitted to the car from the factory ?

Yes, mine already had the receiver fitted, just didn't have the T90 fob. Got a Landrover T91 fob off fleabay and just followed the threads about pairing.

There's a bit of an art to doing the pairing, I've found.

The best way is to remove the battery from the T91 fob (oh, and also check the fob battery is Okay!!), remove the power connector from the T90 unit ( I managed to do this without having to unbolt the fuse panel, the advantage of having small hands), put the fob battery back in, replug the receiver power plug and press and hold down the OFF button on the fob (within 5 seconds of putting the receiver power plug back in) for at least 10 - 20 seconds. You should see a solid red light come on the fob for a second or so. This shows it's paired and you're good to go!

Mind you, I'm in some way thankful that it didn't have the T90 fob, as it's supposed to be huge and I don't have room in my pockets for another big remote. The T91 is small and handy.

That's great.

However mine didn't come with the reciever and fob as standard.
So sourced a reciever, fob and fitted to the car. Paired the t91 very easily.

Just my problem is now is that you have to tell the cars ECU that the reciever is now fitted so that it can enable the park heating function to work.

I bought a faultmate MSV recently mainly for enabling these sort of functions.

For some reason I'm getting an error come up when I try and enable the park heating option in the ECU.
Sadly faultmate's aftercare doesn't really help at all.

So I have a fitted, working reciever and fob and I can't use it :(

That's a bit of a bummer...I seem to remember you mentioned in a previous post that you fitted an aftermarket Sat Nav unit. Could that have anything to do with the error, as on my vogue, you have the ability to set the heater timer using the sat nav touch screen (i.e. a built-in function).

Just thought maybe if you've removed or altered the original cd unit you may have disabled or upset some functions that the unit controlled. Of course I could be barking up the totally wrong tree...

hmmm... dont think so. As mine is a HSE it didnt have the satnav screen.

but even with the multi information display that the HSE's have you should be able to start the park heating from it - ie the HSE's can have the park heating like the vogue can have.

might try plugging in the old display...

it hasn't effected anything else though.

but to get the park heating function up on the screen in the first place it has to be enabled via the ECU :frown:

i think its a problem with the diagnostics equipment.

thanks for your help.
