Not today , but Tomorrow I got to do my bottom steering uj and change antifreeze with a flush because its always been clear In the header tank , but since I changed it a month ago I seem to have what looks like rust Coloured water all I can think is this jcb antifreeze I bought has somewhat given it a clean ?? 
because its s fairly recent rad and its the second change in a year the other stuff was pink crap I don't think its the Colouring affect looks like rust to me ?? What do pink and green = I'm doing it to be on the safe side seeing as I got 20 ltrs

Fixed the fuel flap electric release button. I obviously didn't get the connector pushed fully home when I had the binnacle out.

went out first thing to check it started after being re synced yesterday, fired up first time, wow, love that V8 roar!
Took it for mild greenlaning around Stonehenge, came home and disconected the ariel from the RF reciever. Got wifi everwhere in my village, septic tanks with bluetooth and two remote DIY weather stations waking my car up all night long. See what the side effects are of doing this before i commit to the uprated reciever

Replaced the Glow Plug Relay after starting problems as a result of replacing the Glow Plugs

Fitted uj on steering wasnt to difficult , splines a bit stiff , flushed out and replenished antifreeze and checked oil levels and a grease ready to go

Standard miles of fault less driving, but had two notable events today, first I hit a pheasant so hard it has damaged my front bumper, the foglight blank has been smashed out and the bumper as well as splitter have cracked from the impact. Weighing up my options of attampt a repair or pick up a replacement unpainted bumper from a breakers yard.
Then I had to pull a team members vehicle out of some mud. The area we chose to train had suffered a lot of rain and anything not on the forest road is so soft you instantly sink in it. He decided to try and turn his car (Honda Accord) around on some of this mud which was fine until he stopped and instantly found himself axle deep in the stuff.
So I proved to the Freelander (who few hours earlier had claimed his Freelander could do anything my RR could), Rav4 and all of those other pretend 4x4 drivers that a RR is still the king by effortlessly driving into the mud, hitching up a tow rope and pulling him out. Hopefully someone snapped a couple of photos as I never think to get out the camera.

I remember seeing a LINE-X clearcoat which offers the same protection to your paint/body from rust, but without looking like you've gone mad with bed liner. I imagine that'd be handy for greenlaners.

had a nice little drive to the other side of Oswsestry today to go and collect some tyres for my 16's. no problems at all. nice and steady, drove like a dream.
came back, fitted tyres and balanced, put them on car and WWOOWW! what a friggin difference! no more tram lining, no more bouncing, no more rattles and clatters! 1000% improvment!

Today all I've done is send off LPG and V5 info to LPGA to try to get her properly registered as LPG with DVLA.
At the weekend however, I started fitting the axle I got from Irish Rover. That's a fun job!!
As (sort of) expected, as she came apart, the list of requirements grew
Now waiting for delivery of:
radius arm bushes (axles and chassis ends, as well as nuts and bolts for them!)
two new shocks
antiroll bar drop links
antiroll bar bushes
steering drag link
before I can put it back together and get new tyres (sticking with my 18's but going with grabber AT2s).
Have to confess, I've gone for poly bushes. I know there's a real difference of opinion on here about them, but I don't have easy access to a press and I don't know if the conical squeezy thingy for them is a standard 'thing' if you have a press, or if its a Landy thing, so I'm going for the 'easy' option understanding I will probably have to change them sooner. I've gone for the 'comfort' polybushes. Anyone any experience of those for radius arm - only wanna hear nice things tho, I've already bought them!?
I've burnt out the old bushes, now got to try to drive out the remaining bits of them! Will be p'ing the neighbours off with that tonight
