Got there for 9.30am, he insisted on telling me where to go sight seeing for 20 minutes then told me to come back at 6pm, so before returning filled his courtesy car up , £14 for 38 miles of use ! returned at 5.55pm , but Didn't get my vehicle back till 7.10 pm as he was wiping waxoil of the paintwork & the alloy wheels , got home 11.15pm
 
It's unexplainable ! I have many more photos which make it even worse but no point in publishing all, I had to ask one of the young lads whom I work with to show me how to post a picture!

ur not wrong there with it being unexplainable, just feel sorry for u seeing u might as well not had the job done

wouldn’t expect that done DiY let alone a company supposedly specialising in it

at the end of the day it’s all the argo you’ve got to go through , ie getting ur money back for starters

OK, So if we say solid 10 AM to 6PM of work, I see on his website he claims cars a can be washed and the drying only takes 1/2 hour. Then applies the waxoyl ( his special recipe of anyway). He must be working very hard and efficient to wash, dry internally and externally,descale , brush and then waxoyl in that time.

I would say to some of the others on here ,that they should look at this website. Especially the photos of this defender...Not sure how waxoyling helps that crossmember out?:oops:

OM@G:mad: - IMHO, this is a job that can only be done DIY.... In the pictures - it looks like you might have access to a ramp, or possibly a pit (?) - if so, get all that crap steamed orft at his expense, ( but not on the ramp :eek:) ... after you've had an expert opinion on it, of course,;) and then DIY with one of the dinitrol ( or bilt hamber ) kits - halfrauds web site lists them IIRC :)
 
there are lots of threads all over the interweb on the poor workmanship and even worse aftersales support. a quick google pulls up several.

one has to question the publications which still take his adverts.

i have done the job myself previously on my first landrover 90 and both my fourtraks and know it's a big job, however I chose to have it "professionally" done as I believed in the site. What can I say

Someone asked me for my reply. Some of the photos are repeats taken of the same area. To see the job in context, I would ask Mr. Smith to take pictures showing the whole underbody from front to back. That would tell a very different story and a thorough examination of the vehicle would show that the cavities have been well covered.
This is a vehicle that is 15 foot long and 6 foot wide. So subtracting 10 square feet for the engine that is 80 square feet of extremely rusty floor pan to blast off and then coat. Add another 20 square feet for the chassis box sections, rear axle etc. Then there are about 60 square feet of cavities to coat, box sections, wings, sills etc.etc.

The photos should be seen in that context. They are really a very small area compared to the total and my terms and conditions make clear that I don't cover 100% My terms and conditions state:

"....While I am always trying to achieve 100% coverage, this cannot be guaranteed and customers will have to accept 99% coverage. In practise this means that when you take your vehicle to have a new exhaust fitted you may see a few dry spots, usually no bigger than a coin. If this is unacceptable, I am willing to spend an extra hour or so chasing the last 2 or 3 dry spots to ensure 100% coverage but I will have to charge an extra £100. (You also have the option of making a note of these dry spots and bringing the car back to me for free touching up)...."

As for the damaged fuel pipe. If you bring a rusty old heap to have the rust blasted off and my pressure washer finds rot, it finds rot. End of story. Better to know that it was rotten so that it can be replaced or welded. Do you think I am going to pussyfoot around and say "oh no, must turn my pressure washer right down otherwise I'm going to make holes". Get real!

Occasionally, something gets missed. You bring it back - I rectify. It's set out in my terms and conditions which state

"...If, for some reason, you are dissatisfied with my work you can bring your vehicle in for inspection and rectification if necessary. My decision on what rectification needs to be done will be final. No refunds will be given in any circumstances. If you do not accept these terms and you are not prepared to bring your vehicle in for rectification in case of problems, please do not proceed with your booking."

You don't go on the internet and do your best to damage my business. You bring the vehicle back. End of story. Now get a life!

You've already offered rectification so by you're own admission it's a poor quality job.

I presume however, the Sale of Goods apply to your business, so even although its your ball, you don't get to make all the rules

But they certainly do not appear to be hidden areas. Surely a good worklight and review after the first spray and you will see areas missed and rework them, As I would expect to be YOUR responsibility. Not let them drive out of the door missing areas and expect the owner to check your work and return.

Best to do a proper job in the first place, warranty should cover failure of product, not workmanship.

You have not done £760 worth of work to that vehicle.

The only pictures duplicated were the one of the spring hanger and the close up.

I'm staggered at your delusion. YOU get real.
 
also think the pictures speak for themselves , is shameful and no pride what so ever

at least other forums and trading standards can now see the latest bodge up

a sincere apology and a a full refund might be a good start
