Wastegate hose - what does it do ?

The small bore black hose from the turbo wastegate to the diesel pump. I presume it reflects boost pressure but what does it actually do at either end ?
And does anyone have a spare because mine is shot

The turbo to wastegate hose is to protect the turbo from over boosting:
When the outlet pressure reaches a certain pressure the waste gate opens and directs the boost out of the exhaust. The pipe to the fuel pump alters the fuelling to match the increased pressure coming from the turbo.

Get some new silicone turbo pipe from ebay

Yep get a couple of metres of it and replace it all at once
I went for a nice blue colour - but you can get all different colours
