not looked into it yet but how easy is it to wire up as im putting mine to battery in boot for rear winch lights etc?

also do the alternators need to math in power, ie should i get another 300tdi alternator or go for a bigger after market one?

sorry to say this but pressbrakes looks better just does

Ive not seen press brakes alt kit, but i have seen his cross members and im very impressed.

I have also seen gwyns kit, and met the man at his workshop, and its definitely not cheap or shoddy. He is a top bloke and cares for nothing other than providing and making the best kit he can.

:nospamhere:

Need a relay to "trigger" it off the ignition, that's about as complex as it gets.

You'll also need a long length of seriously thick cable. Don't expect this to come cheaply.

You should be fine with a disco 3 alternator - 99% of the time you're not going to be using the rear battery for anything major, so, it should be nearly 100% charged, when you do need it, assuming you have a descent battery you could use a winch for a while with no charge input at all off a battery.

Just make sure you have a good clean earth for the battery and the alternator --> battery cable is nice and thick. Don't go cheap on cable... could end up in a nice fire :/

because it looks almost like a half arsed effort with that extra bracket like yer we should make it a bit more stable and stronger so we will throw this add on **** bracket to it yer that will do the job

The extra bracket on the 200tdi version pictured is to protect the water pipe from the belt so is there for a good reason, though thanks for saying my 300tdi bracket looks good but I think thats all to do with colour:D

you know very little about this system then:rolleyes:

the extra bracket is there to protect the hose from possible chaffing from the belt if it ever failed/went slack..
