Tubing size for bleeding

Hi,

Anyone know what sized clear plastic tubing I should get to self bleed the brakes on a 1991 J reg, 200tdi 110????

I saw online a fella do this with a clear tube into a plastic bottle (with a vent hole!) and a spanner.

This 'appears' easy, so I'm going to have a go myself, but if these bleed screws are seized or rusty etc, what's best then. . . WD40? Penetrating oil??

I'm hoping this will cure my spongy brake problem!!!

The self bleed kit comes with piping that will be the right size.

However it's still easier/better with a mate in my opinion

If you still need to know the size go out and measure the bleed screw

Talking of which a good soak with wd40 the day before will help.
Then before you start give them another squirt, make sure you have the correct size spanner and try tightening slightly first.

Hi bleeding brakes is easy ! Start at the furthest wheel away from master cylinder buy a easy bleed kit fill it with fluid , go round all four wheels and crack open the bleed screws lock em up straight away ( it's just to make sure non are shagged ) they do go tight !! Then connect your bleed kit and work towards the nearest wheel to the master cyl !! Open each nipple let the air out lock nipple move to next wheel repeat untill done !! Check for a good solid pedal and leaks ! If alls good top up fluid to right level and away you go !! Good luck !!
