I bought a Discovery ES v8 1995 as a non starter at the end of december
in fair condition,it had not run for 4 months despite the attempts of 4
mechanic's including the AA .I had it transported home pumped up the tyres ,charged the battery and asked for help on this site, thanks to some
brilliant advice from some realy helpful people had it running two days
later. I sorted a few bits of rust and got bitten by the modifing bug.It
now has a 2in body lift, 2in suspension lift, high angle props, 6 degree
camber correction arms ,5in extended brake lines ,2in longer bump stops,360 degree rear trailing arms ,10 wide wheels with 325 70 x 16 AT tyres,75mm flatdog wheel arch extentions, tubular front bumper ,sump guard ,custom rocksliders ,lifted rear bumper, stainless steel exhaust with 4 branch headers, modified anti roll bars, and a RTC steering damper in front of the axle.Well If I havent sent you all to sleep I need some advice again due to the tyre size its geared little to high for towing . I have a spare transfer box (v8 disco) would it be feasable to change the high ratio to 1.14 ?.I have a manual which explains how to recon the box
but no mention of a ratio change.
Thanks
