Traction Control Lighting & Jam

Hi there. Greetings from Singapore!

I just bought a Defender 90, year 2004. Was ok when i drove it out of car mart. Subseqently took it for 200km of travel for testing at avg 80km/hr.

Now my TC light keeps lighting up and i can feel the car getting jammed up whenever i changed gears and the car feels very drag up.

Anyone has got any ideas to resolve this issue? I am desperate!!!:doh:

As in the 4wd?

The seller told me to shift it to H.

Is it the problem? or should i shift to other ?

Make sure it is pushed to the right

You have the DIFF LOCK engaged.
Move the small lever fully to the right.

I cant seem to check out where is the prob. The mechanic used a scanner and got some ABS pump fault code, tats about it.

Now the TC light is permantly on. Driving seems normal although i dunno in long run if some parts will wear out due to this or not.

Any body can help?

did you move the little lever to the right? Did the dragging feeling stop? The TC is driven by the ABS so that may well be correct.
