hi the problem started a few days ago on my 99 td5 2.5, when i accelerate from standing or when i increase speed through the gears it feels as if my tc kicks in with the vibration through the pedal and the "noise" , i have read a few posts on here about it happening when the car is slowing down but not when taking off, the tc light does not come on when it happens but will come on when traction control is activated by slippy roads etc. Is the tc governed by the abs module and the cpu ? or is it seperate ?

the traction control is operated by the SLABS ecu, that's the Self Leveling Suspension and Antilock Brake ecu.

My TD5 will have its TC kick in if I pull off too quick on a wet road or wet manhole cover. The light doesent always illuminate unless there is more than a split second of spin at the wheel.

cheers mate , this problem happens every time i get in the car wet, dry it dosnt matter what conditions, it will happen if pulling off from a junction from a complete stop or from moving slowly, it is deffo not the normal operation of the tc as i have owned the disco for 6 years now and know it inside out for all its good and bad points (not sure what it has more off good or bad )

put your location in your profile via UserCP, maybe someone local has a nanocom or hawkeye that may point you to a dodgy wheel sensor or a fault logged in the ECU.

cheers i have updated my location, is there any connection to the abs module going faulty ? was talking to another drover enthuisaist and he reckons the fault may come from there ? any help welcome as i was planning on selling the car this week and have it advertised this thursday, typical
