Tow bracket don't fit ?

Hi all The toe bracket I've got off eBay landrover part number 008244 the face plate fits perfect on my new marshland chassis which as you know has a td5 back end but the bracing bars that came with it are nowhere near 1 not long enough and 2 do not achieve the vertical to bolt on to side of chassis ? Hope that makes sense any ideas ? Would greatly be appreciated .

is it from a 90?
i know 90 braces ar too short for a 110

The ad said it was off a 90 and would fit td5. Am now wondering if the marshland chassis for my 300tdi only has the back end to td5 spec and further in board the chassis reverts to 300 tdi so could be the problem . What do you think.

You still haven't given us the critical info we need. Do you have a 90 or a 110 cos a TD5 is an engine not a vehicle?

Sorry about that it's a 90 300tdi 1996 with a marshland chassis

When I bought my 90 chassis from Marsland, they mentioned an adaptor plate for the tow bar, I didnt get one as had already removed my towbar, they said the plate was needed because of the td5 rear crossmember. So might be worth having a word with Marsland yourself.

Thanks for the reply mark I think your right it's the cross member thats the problem have just spent all day making two new bracing arms from heavy duty angle iron they fit well so that's another problem out the way on to the next.thanks again
