Tow bar and parking aid alarm in car

Hi I have just changed my p38 dse for a 2008 freelander 2 when I turn ignition on I have a alarm sound in the car I think it could be park aid system there is a tow bar fitted with car going in reverse pdc dose not work any help please cheers Pete
