I sympathise with people paying alot to run their dream but right now things are not too bad. Give it ten years when the demand for crude oil exceeds the production capabilities and we will see some real price increases not 10p or 20p over 10 years or so.
Hopefully they will do electric motor conversions for P38's

You will need a bloody long flex. Or have to tow the batteries around on a trailer.

Right then, well you may all have noticed the slightly unusual handle I'm using. Well, gentlemen, you have a minor celebrity in your midst. When I'm not drooling over P38's and wondering whether or not it's a good idea to buy one (See my other posts). I'm actually trying to save Britain with my website

Angry Britain - It's not just you!

We've been on radio, telly and in the papers all over the UK and there's a fair chance you may have already heard of us. AngryBritain.com exists solely to kick the **** out of our useless Government, and all the nasty little hangers-on, benefit scroungers the rude and ill-mannered that are the cause of the massive taxes the rest of us have to pay out of our own wage packets, and at the pumps.

While there's motion in our ocean, we need more coverage and the word spread - so if you really have had enough and want things changed, please log on to the site, send us your Beef and tell your friends about us.

If you use Twitter, we're on there too: AngryBritain.com (AngryBritain) on Twitter

Together we can mend Broken Britain!

Cheers

Aaah you youngsters:rolleyes: less than 2 bob a gallon when I got my first car, fill the tank from nearly empty and get 2 bob (10p) change from a quid:D Only held 6 gallons mind:p

6 gallons @ 2 bob a gallon = 12 bob

12 bob + 2 bob change = 14 bob

A quid = 20 bob.......

6 bob missing........

short changed....pub (or to much vino) or old timers disease.....................:behindsofa:

I also remember the 2 bob a gallon, 2 star, 3 star, 4 star, 5 star and Esso Blue and Pink Paraffin including those white forecourt machines with a glass dispensing tank...........Arr,,,, those were the days my son....;)

Yer thnik THATS BAD .............. I've got them "Petrol Coupons" they issued during About 1973 (When we only had electric fer 3 days a week!!!)

And they were originally printed for just after the war but never issued........recycling at its best......might be needing them soon at this rate..........

Those were the days ESSO Golden five star rocket fuel 3/9 a gallon. And for your 3/9 you got a sometimes rather nice bit of crumpet, who came and filled your tank. And sometimes with the right chat up line your got to fill her tank later. Utopia.
