Hi guys, sorry if I have posted this in the wrong location I am new to this forum.
I know that it's probably been posted before and I have read lots online but still have no luck with sorting the issue with my Range Rover sport sound.
Firstly it's a Range Rover sport 2007.
Stereo seems to work as normal but no sound coming from speakers, nor does the volume button on the system or the steering wheel buttons show any indication of sound levels. I haven't had it long, when I first got it on the drive home I couldn't figure out why there was no sound ( didn't think to check this when I got it) .. I pulled up at home and spoke to my neighbour who jumped in pressed some buttons and got it working- but only rear speakers worked not the front. Next morning same problem no sound. Few days later was going away for weekend and as I was filling up at petrol station misses got it working but again she just pressed buttons and didn't no how she did it (only rear speakers worked) Now it doesn't work no matter what buttons anyone presses? I have checked all fuses linked with the system, done an ECU reset, unplugged and plugged back in the wires on the amp etc but still nothing. Seriously driving me mad. One of the plugs has the red light thing working but just no sound at all. I have read stuff online and may have to change the amp? But don't want to fork out loads of cash on one if the problem is something else? Any ideas? Or anyone know someone local to the Midlands that could help me ? Thanks a lot in advance !!!

It's possible it has when my Sony dab radio throws a hissy fit I disconnect my battery and I let it reboot but your car has far more electrics than my 90
As soon as I do this it's sorted

Have you actually read the owners manual to see if it says anything worthwhile or are you just 'pushing buttons'?

UPDATE!
right found a local guy that has diagnostics to read the audio system. Came up with attached fault codes.
AMP showing as non responsive, so I assume this is the problem ?
Am I right in thinking that the other audio faults are all linked to the amp being non responsive ??
Thanks for any help will hunt for a new amp now !

I don't know the Rangie system, but "AMP" usually means amplifier and since the sounds or audio are normally fed through the amplifier, it's a pretty fair bet that the fault might lie in that area.
As I said, I don't know the Rangie system, but the amplifier in the Disco is under the front passenger's seat.

That's helpful.
'Vehicle has no sound but everything else is working correctly' seems to match what my problem is. Will try a hard reset now.
I am hoping it's just the amp that's the problem if the hard rest doesn't work! It's coming up as non responsive so must be that?
Wil need to replace anyway won't I? Then if problem isn't solved I have to buy a new head unit ? Thanks for the reply appreciate it !
