Hey guys,
I just had yet another nervous, temp gauge watching, airlock having ****ty journey back from London. I really thought this **** would be done with the addition of the EWP but it seems that although the EWP does its job it's just moved the problem along. Quite frankly, I'm giving it one more chance and if it ****s with me again I'm selling it to whoever will take it and going back to the Japs. I just can't deal with how little faith I have in this car, much as I really want to love and defend it. A massive temp spike on the M1 inbetween junctions tells me enough is enough.
The problem is exactly the same as when I got it despit all the uprates and mods I have done; coolant loss > refill > airlocks > SHGF.
Only this time the coolant is ****ing out of the top of the header tank due to the pump doing what it's meant to do. I may also be losing a bit out of the main feed hose (again) and I'm basically back to square one several hundred pounds later.
So, I would really appreciate some brains on how to stop coolant coming out of the cap, whether it be through a better cap, or valves/manifolds to restrict flow there. But if I can't stop this coolant loss problem I'm done with it.
For anyone who hasn't really been following the saga of my particular car, yes I've done pretty much every fix on the forum to stop coolant loss and no it's not the water pump or manifolds. I can see tons of coolant staining on the outside of the tank so i'm 99% sure that is the culprit.
