Sierrafery - I just thought when I saw your comment ".....the air must leave the system somewhere if it drops" - I don't know exactly how the system works but is there some sort of failsafe/over pressure/safety valve to stop the system over inflating which may be at fault ... is there available a diagram of the Air suspension system (and the ACE which I'm also having problems with also) tia

The important thing to look out for when considering the purchase of new air springs is to the OE ones made by Contitech.

There are a lot of Dunlop ones about and they have had failures.

Hi,

Can the air leak from the air-bag while the car is on the move or does it only leak when stationary?

Cheers.

Hi,

My local garage is charging £180 for ONE air-bag and £70 for labour - I am not sure which brand of air-bag they use.

Is this a reasonable price for the replacement of one air-bag?

Cheers.

I'll leave you to judge a new air spring costs between £70 and £90 depending on make and supplier. Cheap one are Britpart/Dunlop & the better more expensive ones are OE and made by Contitech.

Fitting takes about 20mins tops per side.

Where in the UK can I get the OE by Contitech?

Is fitting the air-springs a specialist job on the Discovery 2?

Cheers.

Fitting the new springs is a VERY SIMPLE diy job.

Do a Google search for Discovery Contitech air springs or similar. I'm not sure if Paddocks do them?

Hi
Iv been having trouble with my air suspention on my disco td5, it been going down on the off side for ages so I got round to check it yesterday and after all day lookung I found a leak in the pipe as it goes in to the splitter block next to the compresser, the compresser won"t come but when removed it runs direct from a battery
john

Once the air-bag has been fitted, is there any adjustment/calibration required to ensure the suspension is level, or does it level evenly automatically?

Got my 2004 Disco and the bloke must have sold it because of suspension slowly going down, takes a day. So replaced with Dunlop ones from Paddock, all good, 50 miles later both have blown at top, resulting in nasty experience on road then another 10 miles to get home with no suspension. Any ideas? Paddock sending me another that I had to pay for until they work out if its a faulty one, only just found out both have gone GGRRR. Any help would be much appreciated as I am about to order another, but if its something else causing the air to suddenly go, could I wreck another 2 bags?
