If you ae new to this forum, take note what the guy's on here are saying (mainly 1.8 petrol) DON'T BUY IT if you have send it back unless you have money to burn and in which case if you have snd it to me! Cheers everyone goodluck to you all and hey Merry xmas (bah humbug):) :(  :p ;) :D

**** loads of money later on diognostic machines including LR and supposedly having the head gasket, fuel pump changed, etc and now more problems, the original problem is still there (sorry was) it's gone sold it, and spent the whole fifty two pound i got for it on beer. Rip ****mobile!

Revenge is a dish best served cold. I have lots of ways to make sure you get it. some are very annoying but non physical and some are just plain psychotic but if you need any advice PM me.

I guess the thread i posted earlier didn't come out ( just as well), Guys thanks for your help but it's gone and as for the previous owner, well, he'll get his come uppance (hope i'm there to see it)

When I first came on this forum, I thought you bastards, but you know what? I was wrong you were all right, can honestly sat that there is nothing good about the1.8 petrol thingylander. TO ANYBODY THINKING ABOUT BUYING ONE DON'T BOTHER!

Im one step away to do the same. (get rid it) On Friday probably the thing (K1.8- aka english patient) will be past.

Why is it that we get these blow ins, members with very few posts, that seek advice then up and leave.

Makes me wonder why I bother posting advice sometimes????

We get the same sort of peeps posting on MG-Rover.org, They buy a car thats maybe 10years old with as many owners and all of a sudden its the cars fault

You'll find that the FL1 makes a very good all rounder, yes some problems but you'll find other problems with other cars.

Go and buy a X-trail or something similar, you wont have to even lift the bonnet, but dont come crying when the japanese parts bill comes in.

ooo NI - someone hit a nerve?

It is generally recommended that peeps dont get a petrol hippoo unless they know what could happen. We all know there are good ones out there, but the risks of probs are greater.
Sum peeps take the attitude "it wont happen to me" and then are surprised when it does.
forewarned is forearmed - shirley?

"Some problems" ??
Engine is just a piece of sh.. and in the end of 2007 there isnt any effectively solution.
How about transmission, IRD, VC, rear Diff ? Clutch ? Sunroof ? Rear glass? Heater matrix ? Give me a break. The whole freelander project is a crap design just to sell "cheap" parts around the world.

As for the members with few posts advices and leaves thats what the forums for.
i own the fr. for 4 years and i paid for the most of the above.

Like I said go and buy a Japanese motor, Thought about it myself heading down the Impreza route, but the understated hippo has served me well.

you'll find that there is a straight forward fix to all the problems that you have mentioned. Its character building.

Build a bridge...........get over it.

Forums are there for free advice, consultation, people (like yourself) are entitled to their opinion, you'll find that negative comments of impending doom are not welcome. If you wanna slag off FL join a japanese marque forum, slag away to your hearts content.

As I say to most of the peeps going japanese

You'll be back asking which diesel is best
