sync mate help???

hi every one still having problems with my p38 starting....changed in tank pump bla bla bla took took spring out of stop solenoid to see if it was that i have diesel getting to fip but no fuel to injectors...
my question is ive been told to put the sync mate in to the ecu but why is this???
does the fip have a immobiliser built in to not send fuel to injectors for anti theft or some device??? :doh:

the sync mate recodes the becm with engine ecu. when the code between the two are lost for one reson or another, the ecu fails to send fuel though. hope that helps..

In a word, yes. If the becm does not get the code it is expecting from the EDC (i.e Its out of synch) then it wont send the signal to the immobiliser
