Hi all i have done a lot of checks and so far have glowplugs working, power to fip solenoid is good, earths are good, inertia switch good. I recently bought a Sync Mate and it gives me the green light. My only issue i can find is power to the in tank pump which i know works but no power to the plug. Power to relay on one pin and if i bridge the relay i still get no power. Fuses look good. head wrecker

Fuse box failures are quite common, the connectors into which the relays plug go slack so there is no contact. Track and solder joint failures are also a possibility.
 
A good point. If you can unplug the connection under the fuse box that feeds the intank pump you can earth and power feed it from there to rule out the fuse box but you will need a wiring diagram or drop the tank...
 
Do I recall Tomcat once having some really odd behaviour with the lift pump not running that he traced to the fuel flap switch amd couldn't see why it made a difference but it did? Or am I mixing that up with something else?
 
Thanks all, i think at this stage a trace of fuel pump wires from tank to fuse box will be my first call and then investigate fuse box connectors but i might gravity feed it to get it running to make sure no other issues

Shouldn't have but got a vague memory of Tomcat having an issue and replacing it fixed it and we were all trying to work out how. May have been coincidence, of course. I seem to recall him also having issues with the connector under the expansion tank so it might have been that or a dodgy earth point if it was the same car. He had 2 on the go and I cannot remember what he did to each one.
