Does anyone remember a TV program from "Survival" (Anglia TV) shown years ago about a Land rover (S1 or SII I think) used in Africa by game wardens / conservationists. It was unusual for "Survival" in that the program focussed on the Land Rover rather than the animals. Anyway I'm hoping that people here with longer memories than me will know what I'm on about. I've tried google, wikipedia, IMDB and Survival Anglia's website but no joy. I thought the show was really interesting and would love to see it again. It was filmed in 1960's or 1970's and the car in question was modified for chasing rhino and other large mammals. A catcher / nutter sat on the front wing in a chair with a noose and another nutter drove it like a lunatic after the rhino's (to relocate them away from poachers or something). Anyway there was no cab, each wheel had another (larger) tyre over the inner tyre to stop the huge thorns in the bush puncturing the tubes. The crew also welded girders to the chassis to withstand the battering that it took. There were lots of scenes of it flying through the air over termite mounds and stuff, any ideas?
