D2 pre facelift

Superlock wont disengage at all. Got a flashing B on the dashboard so presumably a bcu fault

Cant open passenger door.... cant remove glovebox as it fouls on the passenger door so cant get at bcu

Was also not mobilising. Managed to fix that by disconnecting power and waiting 15 mins but that didnt fix lock problen.

Any ideas?

Disconnecting the battery won't fix anything on a D2 but if the BCU or IDM is fubar it can restore the communication between them, if only the passenger door is not opening and the others do it means that only that one is mechanically stuck superlocked due to motor failure cos if it was from the BCU the rear and tail doors would not work either cos are all on the same circuit ... and in this case you'll have to get handy to remove the door card and mechanically unlock that door... which can end up by stripping the whole actuator...dont ask me how i know

You should have said that from the beginning...the driver's door has it's iown circuit ....all are superlocked or can you open at least one of the others(except driver's)?

Can open boot but that hasnt locked for about 6 months!
this might be a good news for you, i'll be back soon to tell you how to unlock all those doors from there by feeding the circuit from outside, you'll have to take the door card off, unplug the actuator and have a wire with 12V there

Can get the 12 thats no issue. Which door do i need to get card off? Thanks

So, work with the tail door as that can be opened ...disconnect battery both terminals, remove fuse F1 interior fusebox, unplug tail door actuator and prepare two wires as to be able to connect into the plug's terminals, one earth and one live from battery , connect live to pink/purple wire and earth to pink/red and live if no joy reverse polarity and try with pink/purple and pink/grey...important is to use the pink.purple as common for the other two dont connect feeed across pink/red with pink/grey...if you find the correct sequence all the doors should open at once though let the driver's door opened to not superlock that too while you try

So. Removed f1. Removed battery. Connected wires to pink/purple and pink/red. Connected to battery. Nothing

Swapped the wires. Nothing

Moved the wore that was on pink/red to pink/grey and repeated. Still nothing.

Have i misread something?

Thanks

Hmm tried the various combinations... live wire got very hot but nothong else happened!
Are you sure you didnt mix wires there and did all i said (battery disconnected and fuse F1(interior fusebox) removed? , here's the relevant part of the diagrams which shows that if you do what i said the motors should work...unless the diagram is wrong

Sorry. Confused.

So you mean connect live from battery to pink/purple

Then connect earth to pink,/red

Then repeat with pink/grey or at thr same time?

Thanks
i read it such that live is pink/pur and earth is either pink/red OR pink grey. One locks and one unlocks the motor drive.
that dia doesnt show Pur/Green
