Google suggests it's an equal distance between Buxton and Macc.

I have straps and stuff if he reckons he can be pulled out without a winch.

Asking if they can assist tomorrow because they are closest to where I think Waldo is.

James there's 7 others closer than you so hopefully someone can step up seeing as we have a bit of time

Dropped pin

Slid
Approx 30m from road
Rear of vehicle facing track
potential issue anchoring recovery vehicle as road is convered in snow

Equipment on board:
Front winch
8m 3.5 tonne strop plus shackles
Rear tow ball on a 6mm HD steel cross member

I am having to get on a flight to Aberdeen for an interview now and will not be back until tomorrow evening (earliest 5pm at vehicle) however my dad is available all day.
Fuel costs and generous beer tokens will be provided.

We're looking for a preferably winch equipped landy that can give Waldo a pull near Buxton tomorrow after 5pm.

Anyone?

Just curious..... is the casualty level with the road? or below road level?
What is the average length of landy-winch cable? :)

Below road level
Worst case I could run my own winch cable under the axles and out the back, secure it with a shackle to prevent it sliding across into the wheels

I'm not really free tomorrow, have normal work, then pub work in the evening. I can probably spare a couple of hours mid afternoon if you really need me though
