starting problem ,plz help .

wen i go to start my rangerover up ,sumtimes the dash lights are dim and it wont start ,a couple of minutes later the dash light go brite(normal) and then it will start.
Any help plz ,thank you.
 
Bad connections at the battery, corroded cables, bad earth to the engine/chassis, burnt fusebox, etc.
It would of course help if you told us whether the car is a Trabant or a P38 and if it's petrol or diesel. Your location would also help.
