Side step brackets.

Hi.

I have just brought a pair of used side steps from a Discovery 1 but they came without the brackets.

I have search on google, ebay among others and cannot find these for sale or even any pictures.

I stopped by a dealer earlier and they showed a picture of the steps but no brackets and said they would not be sold seperately. I am supprised at this, was I getting the brush off for daring to go into there posh showroom and buy some brackets. (There was no stores hatch like some other dealers I've been to but you sit at a desk like you are buying a vehicle)

Can anyone help me source a set or show me a picture of what they look like, if I cant buy any then I will need to get something made up.

I have these fitted to mine (97 300tdi) they are quite simply made just a piece of angle iron and some plate.
have a look it might at least give you some ideas.

A good link jimmm65, very much like Land Rovers own better in fact, LR's are painted or plastic covered so will get rusty eventually.

They are quite complicated arn't they. I will be calling a few company's avertising in the Landrover magazines to see if I can get a set of brackets on there own.

hi I bought my side steps from devon 4x4 their bearmach ba100s stainless steel maybe if you contacted them they may be able to sell you some brackets.

I make a point of never buying anything from D4x4 cos they are a bunch of overpriced tossers who con there customers into believing there stuff is somehow better than every fooker else's. take there waffles for example £80 to £100 for something you can buy for £30 to £40 everywhere else. And the cheeky bastid have the audacity to claim it's because theirs are made differently to everyone else's and try to get you banned off mudclub for telling peeps the truth. tossers the lots of em.

Over time you will learn that some peeps on this forum have a damn sight more knowledge than you give them credit for.
Redhand (or Pikey as we know him) has forgotten more about Land Rovers than I will ever know.

That was the sort of sudgestion I was looking for, I didn't mean to start a squabble. :behindsofa:

I have heard from other sources about this company so was gonna be wary anyway, but at the end of the day if i make a dozen calls and they are the only ones who can help me I will be using them.

FFS don't shout it's rude. Are you on a commission or do you work for them and this is just spam? I can't stand the ****ers ok In my opinion they're a bunch of rip off fooking ****ers. Now I suppose you're gonna tell me I'm not allowed to express an opinion?? :fighting:
