hi, my she-lander has just failed her m.o.t on the strangest thing....
i have owned her for 3 years and evry year so far no problem.. then to day the m.o.t centre have failed her because she has an imported headlamp, so shines in the opposite direction to what it should...land rover checked this out and confirmed this,so i know the garage is'nt trying to rip me off. the problem i have now.....i can't get a used one from any anywhere apart from the dealers:( mega money £160.00 plus fitting and v.a.t. if anyone has a spare clear headlamp for a she-lander 1 (2001) please get in touch. i don't earn buckets full of money and my she-lander is our only means of transport...many thanks for your time:)

Sometimes you can get away with it by fitting a beam bender on the lense to correct it, that's what the MOT station next door to us at work have done in the past.

It's my understanding that our RHD headlights are more directed across to the left, than LHD headlights are directed across to the right, therefore a beam bender designed to correct a LHD vehicle for use in countries where they drive on the correct side of the road ;) can be used to get the car through an MOT.
