Wont be spending a lot of time in mine or I would just get a caravan. Its more for overnighting while on the hoof. No cooking, peeing or washing. Just a bed and a kettle. I cant stand tents.

If you're going to the trouble of building it, you may as well add a few creature comforts like a cassette toilet and a small cooker.

It will have a space for a self contained gas ring for the kettle and a bed. Evacuating in the livingroom wont be happening. It didnt even happen when I had a caravan with an en suite. I did try the shower once and to be honest I'd rather stand in a wardrobe and flick a cup of lukewarm water over my head.
The trailer I have picked up is a very heavy duty plant trailer. The bed stands two feet above sea level so height will be a problem if I want to stand up in it. I am thinking more tear drop meets expedition so room will be a problem unless I create a pop up roof.

Hope its nice and the wind is in the right direction so you wont be able to smell the Isle of Wight.

It was a nice weekend, M3/A34 were a bit of a mess, but the weather was good and a nice show of pre-1930 engines and hardware.

We took our smallest show engine, a 1927 6hp Ruston Hornsby AP.

Cricket on the green in the evenings, round the back of the camping area.

Lots have happened since June!

Philip is currently in the USA, he is out there staying with our good friends in Santa Clara. His Discovery is at a local indy having core plugs done.

We have got into Range Rover ownership with a 2000 Vogue, that has been interesting... Skimmed heads, runs OK but she's an oil drinker!



Just been down to the weighbridge with our latest engine buy, it's a 1932 Petter S Type 18/21 hp, weighs in at 1427kg.

You can just see the top of the new trailer over the fence, that is waiting for my health to improve before I get back onto it.

Got the engine running yesterday, first time it has run in probably 40 years.

Noticed last evening that the original test sheet was dated 21st October 1932, so Saturday's start up was on its 85th birthday

It was getting on in the afternoon and a few folks had fairly long drives home. It was 86 miles each way for us.

I'm the one with the adjustable in my hand at the start of the video.

Hopefully some of this stuff will wash out of my system eventually.
New steel box section for the engine trolley arrived this morning from Parker Steel, expecting extra axle and wheels from Meredith & Eyre this week as well.
