Well after reading this post start to finish.......
Should I use Veg oil (straight from Tesco) in my 200tdi Auto?
How much should I put in on a ratio to diesel?
At what point should I change the Filters?
Where is the sediment filter?
Can I really save a shed load of cash?
Will it damage anything?

Most importantly MOT due in September,
Is it legal?
How will it affect my emissions?

Anyone tried just mixing veggie oil with petrol until its about the same viscosity as deisel ? I wonder if if would work out cheaper than mixing with deisel ? Just a thought.

I use quite a lot of waste veg oil in my 200 tdi and always put in roughly 5% petrol to thin it out before I chuck it in the tank.

Dread to think what ratio is in my tank at the mo' been quite skint the last couple of weeks, so lots of wvo with a bit of petrol and very little diesel, runs lovely:D..........for now!

I must say i am very tempted to try this as Diesel is getting stupidly expensive. I have read the thread back to front very interesting and colourful LoL. But i still have worries. I will tell you all straight I am a noobie and a girlie so be gentle.
I have done simple this like changed my back door lock, Brake Disc and Pads and also changed the alternator belt BUT mechanically i'm not brill, SOOOOO what real damage can using Veggie Oil in my car do?? I read about changing filters etc cuz of it dragging crap out the engine, is this simple to do our would i have to take it to a garage? And if my car has never used veggie ix before what would you recommend I live in the midlands so no excessive weather climates except or exceptional amounts of rain ;).
Any recommendations would be appreciated as i really could do wisth savings some £s but couldnt we all.
Ohh will my car smell like the locally chippy van also LoL ??

Never changed a fuel filter but first time for everything ay :D Obviously i shall run it on this mix for abit first to let all the rubbish build up. I've read ppl talking about gumming when using veggie whats this and how to you fix it?? I know i'm jumping the boat abit when i ain't got the problem but dont wanna jump in feet first to find it knackers my beautiful knacker LoL

fuel filter takes 30 secs max to gange and are about £2 from paddocks literally you unscrew it and screw the new one on
with a touch of oil round the seal it is locatedon the bulk head under the wipers and is a bout the size of a tin of beans
