Hi I'm looking at getting a old landy mainly for carting wood Round, it will only do about 2 or 3 thousand miles a year As iv got the disco. I'm looking T either a series or a defender for around £2-3000, my biggest concern is running costs so I'm wondering what's cheaper a tax free series on classic insurance but less than 20mpg or a cheap defender that better on fuel, I'm not sure on classic insurance prices anymore, any help will be great thanks

That's what I was thinking but that £300 saving on fuel would cover the tax on a defender which is we're I'm struggling to decide, I can work on both and in my experiance both are reliable if maintained but I'm speaking from experiance ten years ago
