After discovering my brake lights dont work. I checked the switch at the back of the brake pedal to see if the connections may have come loose or the switch may need adjusting.
I discovered that there is no switch attatched to the pedal.
I would like your help on this one please.
I ordered a switch but my problem is that there is no connections to put on the switch even if there was one there.
I have posted a few pics to show. Please note that there are a few connections hanging down. Unless the switch in my rangie is the plug type rather than the 2 blade type, then i do not see any for the brake switch.
Hope this makes sense.

what year and model classic is it ???? from memory it should have a mechanical switch operated by the brake pedal its a plastic one , but ive never had any trouble with them when i had my classics.
rick.

The square hole in your second pic is where your switch should be, it's probably dangling by it's cable somewhere under your dash, if you have abs then it's 4 wires, fiddly bugger to put in, pull out the red sleeve a little first, push in after so it locks, kinda, in place.

There's no switch hanging down, only wires and connectors.
There is a 4 pin connector hanging there so i am hoping that the switch i have ordered is the correct one.
Another thought has crossed my mind in the few days of figuring this out.

Would removing a brake switch do away with any ABS warning light problem?
Just wondering if someone before me has removed it for some other reason........
