Ive had my Range Rover for about 4 weeks. When i brought it, it already had a 2" suspension lift. When off roading it still likes to drag its ass coming out of ditches and getting stuck. This "could" be down to my inexperienced driving:eek: but still whats the easiest (cheapest!) way to lift the body say another 2-3"?
Thanks for any Help
Lewis.

For what it's worth I would say drive it a bit longer and decide what you really want to do with it. I've found a standard RRC is very capable but does tend to hook up on it's diffs more easily than say a defender but most of the time it isn't a problem and there's always another motor to pull me out. What the Rangie lacks in ground clearance can often be made up with having more power to steam roller through most stuff.

Much of it could be down to your driving. Learn to read the ground, often taking obstacles at an angle helps. If you learn your vehicle you may start surprising people. I've taken my Freelander where an experienced 90 driver struggled (admittedly largely because he assumed that if a Freelander has been there, he wouldn't have to think in a 90, and turned his brain off. Pity he forgot about TC, wheels in the air are not a problem to me!)
Remember, it doesn't matter how high you lift it, the lowest point is the diff, and that won't change. All you have to do is learn how to cope with the back end.

good point about driveing skill however you can get polyurethane rounds and cut them to size.
basically make up bigger rubbers and sandwich them between big washers useing longer bodymount bolts.
HOWEVER the chassis goes to the back of the vehicle so only a bob tail will truely suffice.Just make a skid plate and boot it dude.you got the power...

I would love to bobtail it. But after reading about all the hassle with getting it checked by the DVLA, and possible SVA tests etc. It seems like to much hassle. If i didnt need to use the car on the road I would get the angle grinder out:D

im in the same boat, Ive got EAS on my classic so dont have the option of bigger springs so more space in the arches for bigger wheels/tyres by a body lift is the only way,
I got a 2" lift off wizardsec on ebay, search for "discovery body lift" as it will fit, Gerard is really helpful and drop my name im any corospondence "manimalfloss"
Havent got round to fitting mine yet but checked it all out and it will be fine,

rangeys have a habbit of draggin their hinds everywhere mines got two inch lift kit two inch spacers under the springs two inch body spacers and 33inch tires and with its tow bar will still manage to find bits to drag on, take the tow bar off would be my advice as thats worked best for me but if you look at a rangeys ass the do have a fair over hang and with out bobtail cant really be dealt with without a huage lift but itl be ok lol
