whats wrong with putting a switch on the line to 85? That way you can use a low wattage switch!

I'm saying there aint no biccies still yur bastids

looking at moldy's version and comparin it to reds, im tempted ter side wi red, but only on account that by goin wi moldy that wuld mean the switch was allus live when the main beam is on, whereas reds means the switch has the relay between the feed and the current when the main beam is on.

i might be wrong tho

not if you connect the relay as per your original diagram.

Don't know about you lot but I have my spot wired up reds way

power to the relay from main beam through a switch (no light but ya can tell when they are on cos you can see).

oooooh, and victory goes to moldy, on account of pikey bein disqualified fer cheatin

yes it will, just maybe not for as long as it would if the switch controlled the coil and not the high current lights directly

an if yu run a wire back from the light side of the relay to ya warning light - it tells yu there is power to the light and not just that the switch is working.
