Bastid your bound to win then. Mine will probably last ages anyway cause it'll take me years to get round to fitting it!! The spots that are going on it I got to fit to my golf gti which I sold without having fitted the lights. I bought it in 1995 sold it in 1998.   :D :D

trust me it wont snap or bend. id yer want help with the wiring si give us a shout and ill talk yer through it. you using a separate switch all together or you want it to work of yer main beam on the stalk.

Ours is both, main beam mastered switches, 1 for 2 left, 1 for 3 right lamps. Alot 'o' wire coming in and out. Feed coming off underdash wire. Switches going in where the cruise controls are

piece of **** to wire em so they'll work off yer mainbeam. and you only need 1 extra wire and 1 extra switch per pair of lamps. In fact I'm off to draw a simple to understand wiring diagram be back shortly.

Yours sparkingly

Here you are so simple even Si could do it. Well he can eat biscuits while he watches it been done anyway.

just earthed each individual lamp to the bar then the bar to the car, ran the power in series, through the roof under the dash where i have a master switch then a relay, then to main earth to the battery and tapped into the mainbeam connector hence it works off the stalks.

err - yer dunt wanna run the power in series! should be in parallel.
personally, I'd use 2 30A relays and split the lights up in pairs. even though 4 55W spots only draw 18.3A, yer relays will have a longer life if you use 2.

that's how that works but the relay is fed by the mainbeam switched live so it will only turn on when the mainbeam is on, fully legal that way. The switch with neon is to allow you to turn the spots off whilst on the road. & i only drew in one pair of lamps cause you just repeat the process for each extra pair of lamps.

yes but trewy i have 2 pair of wiring kits so have a spare relay! :D

what makes yer wanna run them in parallel then? whats the benefit besides if in series a bulb goes they all go?

err, if you connect 2 bulbs in series, you only get 6 volts across each one!
if you connect 4, you only get 3 volts.

not a "bright" idea.;)
