Replacing Turbo On 300tdi

Is it possible to replace just the turbo or do you need to obtain with the turbo connected to manifold,Haynes manual does not seem clear.

Yes, turbo is a seperate unit. 3 bolts hold it onto the manifold.

Why replace it?
Recondition it with a kit costing under £50.
Takes a couple of hours and is very simple to do.

I can't remember where I got my one.
What turbo is it?
I have a surplus kit here for a
GARRET T2 / 25
part number 709143-0001

Hunt the net or make me an offer of about fifty pounds.

Thanks for reply,my Haynes manual says that the turbo is an Allied signal rather than a Garrett T25.Dave
