Recommend a winch

So, I went out on a really dry sinky beach yesterday evening and I almost got STUCK!!!!!!!

[I] I was all by myself with no cell phone.[/I] :doh:

So, I want a winch. All I need is something that can pull my 90 out of sand. Nothing ellaborate but must be reliable.

I guess I will also need a bumper?

You can improvise a sand anchor from your spare wheel if you know what you're doing.
Used this technique loads of times in the Algerian Sahara.
Dig a hole three feet deep big enough to lay the wheel flat in. Securely attach a short length of chain, nylon strop, rope, or whatever to the wheel. Bury the wheel. Attach your winch/tirfor to the short bit which hopefully you left above the surface when you burried the wheel. Winch away. Dont forget to dig the wheel up when you're done. Simples.

Dont forget most winchs only have 30 meters of cable which isnt actually a lot especially on a beach.

i got the giggle pin 8274 on the front and the epi9 on the rear the superwinch is good and would be suitable for most applications,but nothing comes close to the gigglepin 8274 although i only have the single motor version:doh:
