Im driving along and notice there is something going on with my rear view mirror, its like all the colour of the glass is slowly moving down, so instead of a slightly tinted colour, its now like a normal mirror.

Next day, driving again, and the whole mirror has chaned to a this normal mirror colour, not how it should be, and the auto dim doesnt work. Next thing is im driving along and some think black oil like stuff starts dripping out of it. Fook sakes.

Anyone know whats going on, i guess it buggered now though??

Problem is that its really fuzzy and i cant see through it propely. I know you dont need one, but if its there i look through it, and its really annoying me. Also it blinds me at night, which ****es me off!!

Might this fit, its off a jag but arn't they sort of the same company? It looks the same from the pic, but how does the wiring work? Plug and Play?
Jaguar Auto dimming Mirror on eBay, also, Jaguar, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 11-Nov-08 15:23:32 GMT)

Any suggestions??

Yup I had that it's like oil rising up the glass. Replaced the mirror £104 + fitting + vat, back in 2001.

Lucky you don't have self-dimming door mirrors, I understand they have their problems.

If your existing mirror is like the D1 the sensors and on/off switch are build into the mirror housing below the glass, the one on ebay has a windscreen sensor. The mounting & plug may not compatable although the only electrical connection is a 12v supply.

well thats annoying, more bloody money. I still havent replaced my rear door subwoofer yet, bloody £103 from landrover.

Need to find a crashed Disco 2 somewhere, which has a door sub and a rear view mirror.

Why cant bloody landrover make stuff that lasts!!!!!!
